monday CRM cost and pricing plans in 2026 — per-seat pricing tiers, seat math and AI credit costs illustrated

Here's the short answer: monday CRM pricing has multiple tiers: Basic is $12, Standard $17 and Pro $28 per seat per month billed annually, or $18, $25 and $41 billed monthly. Each plan starts at three seats, and above five you buy seats in buckets of five. Monday CRM Ultimate, the plan Monday CRM used to call Enterprise, is custom-priced, but in our experience, expect it to be $65 per seat per month sold in minimum blocks of five, with discounts unlocking above 50 seats, paid annually upfront (or paid quarterly only if the total annual subscription is above $20,000 and each quarterly payment is a minimum of $5,000). There's no free plan, only a 14-day trial.

The license is usually the smallest number on the bill. A 10-rep team on Pro pays $3,360 a year in seats, and $11,860 to $15,360 in year one once setup, migration, and an agent are included. Budget for the second number.

I get asked what monday CRM costs on almost every call. The answer on monday's pricing page is true, and it's incomplete. It tells you what a seat costs. It doesn't tell you the total cost of ownership to run and maintain a CRM.

There's a second caveat as well. A lot of what's published about monday CRM pricing is out of date, prices moved, the top tier was renamed, and AI moved to credits in 2026. Below is what it costs today, what a real team pays, and what it takes to make the spend worth it. We've done 65+ mid-size implementations and built 50+ CRM and revenue systems, and the setup numbers below are from our real published prices, not guesses.

How Much Does monday CRM Cost in 2026?

monday CRM pricing runs on two variables: the plan you choose and the number of seats. A seat is one paid user. Every plan is priced per seat per month, and annual billing is paid upfront for the full year.

monday CRM pricing plans (verified from their website on 23 September 2026)

PlanAnnual billing (per seat/month)Monthly billing (per seat/month)Built forKey limits
Basic$12$18Tracking contacts and deals, nothing automated1,000 active contacts and deals, 1 dashboard, 5 columns per board, no AI listed
Standard$17$25Small teams starting to automate10,000 contacts and deals, 250 automations a month, email sync and a unified activity timeline, AI credits included
Pro$28$41Teams running a real sales process100,000 contacts and deals, 25,000 automations a month, email sequences, mass email, forecasting, AI credits included
UltimateCustomCustomRegulated or larger teamsUnlimited contacts and dashboards, HIPAA compliance, advanced permissions, white-glove migration, 25,000 API calls a day

Ultimate is the new name for Enterprise, so any guide quoting "Enterprise" pricing is describing the same plan. Above 40 seats, Monday quotes you on every plan. In our experience, Ultimate usually starts at $65 per seat per month. Treat that as where a budgeting conversation with your CFO should start because it's not an officially listed price. But if you've been shopping around, you'll notice this is still way less than the other "real CRMs" monday CRM is always compared to (ie. HubSpot and Salesforce).

Is There a Free Version of monday CRM?

No. monday CRM has a 14-day trial and no free plan. The free plan you'll see mentioned online belongs to monday Work Management, their project and task management product. It's a separate product with its own seats and pricing, and it doesn't include the CRM. The one exception is qualifying nonprofits, which can apply for free or discounted access. Everyone else should plan on paying from day 15 onward.

Why Do Other Guides Show Different monday CRM Prices?

Most were written before the prices changed. Older guides list Pro at $24 a seat and monthly billing at $15, $20 and $33. Today, Pro is $28, and monthly billing is $41. Some describe a CRM free plan that doesn't exist, which is the Work Management plan quoted in the wrong place. You'll also see the product called monday sales CRM. Same product, but it launched under that name way back in August 2022 and dropped "sales" later.

monday's own pricing FAQ adds to the confusion. It says annual billing saves 18%, while the billing toggle on the same page says 33%. The live prices settle it: $12 against $18 is a 33% saving, and on Pro it's 32%. Trust the date on the page (including this one).

What Will 10, 20 or 40 Seats Actually Cost?

Per-seat prices hide the number that matters, which is the annual total. Here's what monday CRM costs per year at three team sizes, with annual billing first and monthly second.

Annual monday CRM cost by team size (Annual Billing / Monthly Billing)

SeatsBasicStandardPro
10$1,440 / $2,160$2,040 / $3,000$3,360 / $4,920
20$2,880 / $4,320$4,080 / $6,000$6,720 / $9,840
40$5,760 / $8,640$8,160 / $12,000$13,440 / $19,680

A 20-person team on Pro pays $6,720 a year on annual billing and $9,840 on monthly. That $3,120 gap is what it costs to keep the option of leaving.

Seat Buckets, and What Empty Seats Cost

monday doesn't sell one seat at a time. Plans start at three seats, then five, then move in buckets of five, so seven reps buy ten seats, and twelve buy fifteen. We priced out what five-seat buckets do to a seven-rep team when we compared monday CRM with HubSpot, and it's the line most buyers don't see right away when they're in procurement mode.

At $28 per seat on Pro, three empty seats cost $1,008 a year, every year. That's not a reason to avoid monday CRM. It's just a reason to count properly. Count the people who'll actually log activity, not everyone who might want to look and poke around once. The purchase page shows the final bucket before you pay, so check it there.

The Free Trial Runs on Pro. Check Which Plan You're Buying.

The 14-day trial runs at Pro level, even if you click "Try for free" under Standard. It's a small detail with a real cost. Teams test Pro for two weeks, decide Standard will do, and only discover after paying that sequences and most of the automations they liked aren't in the Standard plan. Or they convert on the plan they trialed and buy Pro annually without meaning to. Write down which features you used during the trial, then check them against the tier you're buying.

Monthly or Annual Billing?

Monthly billing costs 46–50% more per seat, depending on the plan. Annual billing is paid upfront for the year, you may be eligible for a prorated refund if you cancel within 30 days, but downgrades after that aren't refunded. My common sense rule: pay monthly for the first 60 to 90 days while you find out whether your team will actually use it. Switch to annual once the boards are stable, and the reps log activity without being chased (or if you decide to engage a monday Channel Partner to build, run, and maintain it for you on a retainer).

What Does the AI in monday CRM Cost?

This is the part of monday CRM pricing that's changed most in 2026, and the part I'd verify on the day you buy.

monday's CRM pricing page lists AI credits as included on Standard, Pro and Ultimate; Basic has no AI listed. Anecdotally, when working with our clients, we tend to see credits included at every tier above Basic. The separate "seats plus credits" purchase model monday introduced on 6 May 2026 applies to monday Work Management, not monday CRM, according to monday's own support documentation. If you've read about mandatory minimum credit purchases, that's the product being described.

Credits pay for AI work: monday Agents, AI blocks inside automations, AI calls inside monday Vibe apps, and –- since 20 July 2026 –- monday Sidekick messages and AI Workflows runs. They're consumed per action, not per user. An AI block that fires 100 times a day uses 100 credits a day, which is why high-volume boards, not the clever agents, are where monday AI credits actually go.

Don't confuse credits with automation actions. The 250 actions a month on Standard and 25,000 on Pro cover rule-based automations and integrations "when the status changes, notify the owner." AI credits are a separate meter. You can run out of one without touching the other.

An automation is just "Trigger → Action".

An AI Agent is "Trigger → Rationale → Action → Output"

So, price AI against payroll, not against a $20-a-month consumer AI subscription. Teams we work with typically start at $200 a month, which is around 20,000 AI Credits, and some larger teams may eventually end up closer to $2,000 a month. Even the top of that range is less than a third of what a $75,000 coordinator costs each month, and an agent that writes the brief a rep reads before every call is doing part of that coordinator's job. Set spending limits in the Admin controls before anyone builds anything so you don't run into trouble.

For example, we installed a pre-built monday CRM revenue platform for a mid-sized construction company and had them live in one week. Their Head of Sales asked to leave monday Vibe permissions on for the whole executive team. Months later, someone tried to rebuild their revenue intelligence app from scratch using monday Vibe. Because we'd set hard AI limits at implementation, it cost them nothing. Without those limits, that one experiment could have easily consumed 5,000–10,000 credits.

Do You Need monday CRM and monday Work Management?

No. They're separate products with separate seats, and you don't need a Work Management subscription to buy monday CRM. monday CRM includes nearly everything Work Management does, plus contacts, accounts, deals, email and activity tracking. That's why many smaller teams put every seat on CRM rather than splitting, it's a real CRM with a project tool's data model.

But where it may get expensive is a company where sales, operations and delivery all run in monday CRM. Take a 60-person services firm with 8 reps and 20 operations staff:

  • Split across both products: 10 monday CRM Pro seats ($3,360), 20 monday Work Management Pro seats at $19 per seat ($4,560), and the minimum Work Management AI credit bucket at $30 a month ($360). About $8,280 a year.
  • Everyone on monday CRM Pro: 30 seats, $10,080 a year.

Splitting saves about $1,800 on paper. Putting everyone on CRM costs more and gives you one product and no seams to manage between the deal and the delivery work. Decide on whether your delivery or production teams need contact and email history, not on the $1,800. In my experience, when they do, splitting may cost more in workarounds than it saves in seats.

What Does It Cost to Set Up monday CRM Properly?

You can have a pipeline running in monday CRM in a day. You can't have one that's still accurate in month six without someone designing it: the stages, the automations that do the record-keeping, the permissions, the dashboards, the AI Agents. That design work is the real cost of monday CRM, and pricing pages don't mention it because monday doesn't sell it directly.

To help out, we publish ours. These are fixed-scope builds with the price listed before you talk to anyone:

  • monday CRM Onboarding: $2,500 (Standard), $5,000 (Pro) or $10,000 (Ultimate). Pipeline, contact import, sales automations and dashboards, with your team trained.
  • monday Agent Build: $3,500 for one agent handling a defined task.
  • Admin and Governance Setup, including who gets access to AI: $3,500.
  • Scoping Sprint: $2,500, or $5,000 with a fully working proof of concept built in your own account.

Year-one monday CRM cost for a 10-rep team on Pro

One monday Agent$3,500Optional
Year-one total$11,860–$15,360Licenses are 22–28% of it

For context, procurement data puts paid onboarding for monday.com deployments anywhere from $5,000 to more than $50,000, depending on scope and depending on who you choose to do the migration, implementation, and onboarding work for you. The wide range is mostly about whether anyone defined the scope properly before the work started.

Now compare that to what most companies try first: giving the project to someone internal. We met a manufacturer that handed its monday build to a sales coordinator. Six and a half months later there were no AI capabilities, the core boards and automations were broken, and a $75,000 employee's time was gone. Remember, investing in a fixed-scope build with a certified monday CRM Channel Partner costs only a fraction of one misallocated salary.

As an example, we were recently brought in by a Managed IT Professional Services company that does \$10-20M in revenue, to run all of their revenue operations and monday CRM custom builds on a fixed-scope ongoing monthly engagement. We also upgraded them to CRM Ultimate and added AI, which made their monday CRM investment \$10,000/year for 10 users. Quick math, that's $70,000/year.

Before they called us, they spent:

  • 18 months of their three person leadership team's time dealing with monday CRM related RevOps tasks up to 2 hours per week each. So, that's 2 x 3 x $96/hr cost (not opportunity cost, which is way more) x 52 = $29,952
  • Went through two VP-level sales-related roles that didn't work out. So, \$150,000/year x 1.5 = $225,000 (not including severance pay or cost to re-recruit, hire, and onboard).
  • Went through one low-cost outsourced overseas agency for 6 months. So another $3,000 x 3 = $9,000.

So in their case, upgrading to the best version of monday CRM, adding AI, and investing in a certified monday CRM Channel Partner support all the RevOps and custom AI development for them, is still -$193,952 less than the cost of trying to save money by under investing on licenses and external partners.

What Costs Don't Show Up on the monday CRM Pricing Page?

Five costs sit outside the per-seat price. Nothing to trick you; they're just not on the page.

1. Automation Caps That Force an Upgrade

Standard includes 250 automation actions a month. That's about 11 per working day across your whole team. One automation that notifies an owner on every status change can use that on its own. When you hit the cap, the usual fix is moving to Pro, not a top-up. If you plan to automate anything that matters, budget for Pro from the start.

2. AI Credits at Volume

Covered above. The short version: credits are per action, high-volume boards burn them, and the credit limits and alerts you take the time to set on day one are cheaper than the ones you set after the credits are already gone.

3. Marketplace Apps

Some capabilities you'd expect to be included are paid apps from the monday marketplace, priced on top of your seats. List the integrations and apps you actually need before you buy, and price each one separately.

4. Renewal Increases

Contracts can include annual price increases. Negotiate a cap, or lock pricing for two or three years, before you sign rather than at renewal.

5. The Person Who Keeps monday.com Running

Someone owns the CRM: a fractional admin you hire, the founder, or a partner. The founder or Head of Sales is the default at most companies this size, and it produces a CRM that's only current about half the time. If you'd rather it be neither of the first two, that's what a fractional team that keeps the boards current every month is for. Either way, make a call and assign a name next to this one before you buy anything from monday.

Which monday CRM Plan Should You Buy?

Here's how I read monday CRM pricing by team shape:

  • Basic: only if you're replacing a spreadsheet and nothing will be automated. There are no automations and a 1,000 contact-and-deal cap. Most teams outgrow it quickly.
  • Standard: three to five reps, light automation, no email sequences. Watch the 250-action cap.
  • Pro: the right plan for most teams of five or more reps who prefer DIY vs investing in experts. Sequences, forecasting, mass email and 25,000 automations a month are all here.
  • Ultimate: the right plan for companies truly invested in improving RevOps in their business and getting the most out of monday CRM, or those that need HIPAA compliance, advanced permissions, AI access controls by group, or more than 40 seats.

Is monday Good for CRM?

Yes, for teams whose post-sale work looks like projects and who won't hire a CRM admin. If you need marketing automation in the same system as your deals, look at how the math changes when marketing needs HubSpot before you commit.

What Has to Be True Before Pro Is Worth It

Pro's 25,000 automations are worth nothing if the boards aren't ready for them. Four things have to be true: pipeline stages mean one thing each, calls are recorded so AI Notetaker has something to read, someone has designed the automations rather than described them, and permissions were set on purpose. These are the four conditions we check before switching on any monday AI, and they apply to automation for the same reason: the system acts on what it finds.

If those aren't true yet, go monthly, fix the boards, then commit to annual. In most companies I walk into, the plan was never the problem.

A mid-sized construction company hired us after their monday CRM, installed by a former junior coordinator, produced no pipeline velocity. The plan wasn't the problem; the build was. We moved them to monday CRM Ultimate, turned on monday Agents, AI Notetaker and AI Workflows, and connected their outbound stack and ad attribution. After 90 days, reporting was automated, dashboards ran the weekly meetings, and lead gen was booking 15 meetings a week.

How Do You Get a Better Price on monday CRM?

Start with annual billing, which takes 32–33% off the monthly price. After that, timing matters. monday's fiscal year ends in December, and quarter-ends and the 60 to 90 days before renewal are when there's the most room. Multi-year terms, bundling monday products and AI credit packs and the nonprofit program are the other levers.

Be clear about what a partner can and can't do here. We don't set monday's list price. What we do is size the tier and the seat bucket correctly, so you don't pay for Ultimate you don't need or Pro seats nobody logs into. If you're migrating from another CRM, ask about free months during the switch. As a top monday CRM Channel Partner, we sometimes have access to special deals like an additional two bonus months of monday CRM Ultimate, so you aren't paying for two CRMs at once.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does monday CRM cost per month?

monday CRM, formerly monday sales CRM, costs $12 (Basic), $17 (Standard) or $28 (Pro) per seat per month billed annually, or $18, $25 and $41 billed monthly. Ultimate is custom-priced. Every plan needs at least three seats, so the smallest possible bill is $36 a month on Basic with annual billing. Prices exclude tax and vary by billing country.

Is monday CRM free?

No. monday CRM has a 14-day free trial and no free plan. The free plan often mentioned belongs to monday Work Management, a separate product that doesn't include the CRM. Qualifying nonprofits can apply for free or discounted access. For everyone else, the cheapest option is Basic at $12 per seat per month, billed annually, with a three-seat minimum.

What is the minimum number of seats for monday CRM?

monday CRM requires a minimum of three seats on every self-serve plan. Above five seats, you buy in buckets of five, so a team of seven buys ten seats and a team of twelve buys fifteen. On Pro, three unused seats cost $1,008 a year. Above 40 seats, monday provides a custom quote on every plan.

How much does monday CRM Ultimate cost?

monday CRM Ultimate, formerly called Enterprise, is custom-priced through monday's sales team. In our experience it usually starts around $65 per seat per month. Ultimate adds HIPAA compliance, advanced permissions, unlimited contacts and dashboards, white-glove migration and 25,000 API calls a day. Above 40 seats, every monday CRM plan is quoted rather than listed.

Does monday CRM include AI credits?

monday CRM lists AI credits as included on Standard, Pro and Ultimate, while Basic has no AI listed. Credits pay for monday Agents, AI blocks, monday Vibe app calls and monday Sidekick messages, and they're used per action rather than per user. Heavy agent use needs more, so set usage limits in the AI Cost Center before launch.

Do I need monday Work Management to use monday CRM?

No. monday CRM and monday Work Management are separate products with separate seats, and monday CRM works on its own. monday CRM includes nearly all of Work Management's functionality plus contacts, accounts, deals, email and activities. Companies running operations and sales in monday often put every seat on monday CRM rather than paying per seat for both products.

Can you pay for monday CRM monthly?

Yes. Monthly billing is available on every self-serve plan and costs 46–50% more per seat than annual billing. Annual plans are paid upfront for the year, with a prorated refund if you cancel within 30 days of purchase. Downgrades after that period aren't refunded. Monthly makes sense for the first 60 to 90 days while you prove adoption.

Do I need a partner to set up monday CRM?

Not for a working pipeline; you can have one running in a day. Usually yes for a pipeline that stays accurate, which needs boards designed around your sales process, automations that do the record-keeping, and permissions set on purpose. Fractional Ops publishes fixed prices for monday CRM onboarding, migration and agent builds, starting at $2,500.
