If you're reading this, you're likely considering which CRM is the best fit for your business: monday CRM or HubSpot.
monday CRM is a sales CRM built on monday.com's board-based Work OS. HubSpot is a customer platform with a free CRM at the center and paid hubs for sales, marketing, and service on top.
The short answer: choose HubSpot if you need advanced marketing automation tied to the CRM, or you have someone whose job is administering it. Choose monday CRM if your reps already work in monday, your post-sale work looks like projects, or nobody is going to administer a CRM and you want it pre-built so it doesn't need one.
We've also seen clients run both: marketing lives in HubSpot, and sales and delivery live in monday. Regardless of the CRM you choose, the most important factor is picking a system that stays accurate in month six and that your sales team will actually adopt.
I'm both a top monday.com Channel Partner globally and a HubSpot Solution Partner, and I've moved companies in both directions. Below are the similarities and differences between monday CRM and HubSpot, so you can make the best choice for your team.
monday CRM vs HubSpot: Comparing Both Platforms
You're Choosing Your First Real CRM
If marketing is a function with a budget and a person attached to it, choose HubSpot. If sales is the whole story and the team already lives in monday boards for delivery or ops, choose monday CRM. If neither is true, the deciding question is who will manage it, which I cover in the pricing and adoption sections below.
You're on HubSpot and Thinking About Leaving
The usual reasons are cost at the Professional or Enterprise tier, an admin-shaped hole in the org chart, and reps who stopped updating it somewhere around month four. monday CRM fixes the first two. It only fixes the third if someone builds it for adoption rather than for a demo.
You're Running Both
We typically see this when marketing needs HubSpot's advanced automation and sales and delivery need monday's boards. It goes wrong when the two are supposed to be one pipeline and nobody owns the connecting seam.
Is monday CRM a Real CRM, or a Project Tool?
It's a real CRM with a project tool's data model. Both halves of that matter, and they're the reason the monday CRM vs HubSpot debate never seems to settle.
monday CRM is a separate product from monday Work Management. It runs on the same platform but has its own pricing, its own seat count, and CRM-specific objects: leads, contacts, accounts, deals, activities. It launched as “monday sales CRM” in August 2022 and dropped the “sales” later.
The product moved a lot in 2026. Email sequences arrived at the Pro tier in March 2026, closing the biggest gap for outbound teams. The top tier was renamed from Enterprise to Ultimate, so older comparison pages use a different name for the same plan. AI agents now run natively inside the CRM: lead sourcing, meeting prep, pipeline monitoring, with more a partner can build to spec. HubSpot's Breeze intelligence layer is more of a data-enrichment supporting act than a virtual co-worker.
Boards in monday CRM vs Records in HubSpot
HubSpot's data model treats contacts, companies, deals, and tickets as first-class objects. Every workflow, report, and integration assumes that structure. monday treats a deal as an item on a board, structurally the same as a task.
The practical consequence: ask both systems for Q3 revenue from inbound leads segmented by industry, and HubSpot answers from standard properties while monday answers from columns and formulas somebody built. If somebody restructures the board, the answer changes. It's also why monday is easier to shape around how a specific business actually sells. Flexibility and fragility are the same property.
What monday CRM and HubSpot Cost for a Team
Per seat, monday CRM is cheaper at every tier. That's the beginning of the answer, not the end, because both vendors price in ways that make the sticker number misleading, and neither prices the person who keeps the system running. Here is a seven-rep team over twelve months, US pricing, annual billing. Treat the totals as estimates and check both pricing pages the day you decide.
| Line item | monday CRM Pro | HubSpot Sales Hub Professional |
|---|---|---|
| List price per seat/month | $28 | $90 |
| Seats | 10, because seats sell in buckets of five above five | 7 |
| Annual license | ~$3,360 | ~$7,560 |
| One-time mandatory onboarding fee | None | ~$1,500+ |
| Marketing tool, if needed | Separate (monday campaigns or third party) | Marketing Hub, priced by contact count |
| Usage metering | 25,000 automation actions/mo at Pro. monday AI credits sold separately. | HubSpot Credits for AI and some features |
monday CRM Pricing
Three tiers plus a quote tier. Basic is $12 per seat per month, Standard $17, Pro $28, all annual; monday CRM Ultimate is custom, usually starting around $65 per seat per month. Every tier except Ultimate has a three-seat minimum, and above five seats you buy in buckets of five, so a seven-person team buys ten seats. Pro is where the sales features live: sequences, forecasting, mass email, quotes, and 25,000 automation actions a month.
HubSpot Pricing
The free product is Smart CRM: contacts, companies, deals, a basic pipeline. It's real, and it's useful for a team of two or three. Sales Hub is the paid product on top, where sequences, forecasting, call recording, and conversation intelligence live. Sales Hub Starter is $20 per seat, Professional $90, Enterprise $150, with a one-time onboarding fee of about $1,500 at Professional and $3,500 at Enterprise. Marketing Hub is a separate purchase priced by contact count, and HubSpot Credits meter AI usage.
Who Manages the Platform?
A proper Sales Hub setup takes two to four weeks. monday gets to a working pipeline in a day, then needs someone to keep boards, automations, and dashboards coherent as the business changes. Either way, someone owns it: hire an admin, put it on the founder, or retain a partner. The second is the default at most companies this size, and it produces a CRM that's current about half the time.
monday CRM vs HubSpot Features for a Sales Team
HubSpot wins on depth in most rows. monday wins on the rows a mid-market team touches daily, and on anything that happens after the deal closes. Here is the comparison at the tier pairing that matters.
| Capability | monday CRM Pro | HubSpot Sales Hub Professional |
|---|---|---|
| Pipeline and deals | Board-native; Kanban, timeline, and calendar views from one board; no admin needed | Object-native; deeper stage-level automation |
| Sequences | Added March 2026 | Since 2017 |
| Calling and recording | Native calling, recording, transcription plus an AI phone call agent | Native calling, recording, transcription |
| Email sync | Two-way Gmail and Outlook at Standard and up | Native, plus shared inbox |
| Forecasting | At Pro | At Professional |
| Reporting | Dashboards from any column; built, not shipped | Pre-built revenue reports, attribution |
| Marketing | monday campaigns: email-first, no native ads or SMS | Marketing Hub: full automation, separate purchase |
| Post-sale handoff | Deal flows to a delivery or onboarding board on the same platform, or a monday Service ticket | Deal flows to a Service Hub ticket |
| AI | Sidekick plus configurable agents that read boards and write to items like an employee | Breeze agents pre-wired to update customer records |
| Integrations | 200+ native plus Zapier and Make | 2,000+ marketplace apps |
Pipeline and Deal Management
monday gives you kanban, timeline, and calendar views of the same pipeline without touching admin settings, which is why reps tend to like it. HubSpot's stage-level automation is deeper. If your process is “when a deal hits stage three, do these four things,” HubSpot does that with less setup. If your process is “I need to see the pipeline six different ways by Friday,” monday does that with no setup.
Email Sequences, Calling, and Outbound Prospecting
HubSpot has had sequences for nine years and ships calling, recording, and transcription at Professional. monday added sequences to Pro in March 2026 and offers native calling plus an AI Notetaker. Verdict: monday is now adequate out of the box for a 3 to 20 rep team, especially where outbound sequencing is central and volume is high.
Reporting and Forecasting
HubSpot ships pre-built revenue reports, forecast reports, and multi-touch attribution. monday's dashboards pull from any column on any board and require someone to build them, though monday Vibe now lets users create advanced dashboards and BI tools if they know what they're doing. Verdict: HubSpot, unless someone is building the dashboards for you — which is exactly what closes the gap when a certified monday Channel Partner owns it.
Marketing
HubSpot wins decisively. monday campaigns is email-first with no native paid ads or SMS. If you need forms, nurture sequences, landing pages, and attribution in the same system as your deals, HubSpot is the right option.
AI: HubSpot Breeze vs Agents Built Inside monday CRM
Both read what's in the CRM and write back. The difference is what they're pre-wired to. HubSpot's Breeze agents ship connected to the unified customer record: prospecting, deal progression, predictive scoring, meeting prep. Switch them on and they know where the data is.
monday ships Sidekick as an assistant plus configurable agents — lead sourcing, meeting prep, pipeline monitoring — that read boards and write to items. They have to be pointed at your boards, which is more work and a better fit, because they read the pipeline you actually run instead of a generic one. A partner can also build agents monday doesn't ship.
Integrations
HubSpot lists 2,000+ marketplace apps; monday lists 200+, plus Zapier and Make on both sides. For a company this size, the relevant question is whether the six tools you actually use connect, not the marketplace count. Both cover Gmail and Outlook, Slack, QuickBooks, DocuSign, and Zoom.
Which CRM Will a Sales Rep Actually Adopt?
The pattern is consistent enough that I can describe it before I've seen your instance. Reps update the CRM before the pipeline review and not after. Deals sit in “proposal sent” for eleven weeks. The forecast becomes a guess with a dashboard in front of it. This happens in HubSpot and it happens in monday.
Feature depth doesn't fix it. For a mid-sized sales team it can make it worse, because there's more to not update. A rep who won't fill in three fields won't fill in eleven.
What monday needs to stay current without a full-time admin:
- Boards designed around how the team actually sells, not out-of-the-box templates.
- Automations that do the record-keeping instead of reminding a human to.
- Agents that read the call and write the deal, so the rep's job is correcting the record rather than entering it.
- One prerequisite: if your reps aren't recording calls, none of the agent work applies. That's a habit change before it's a software change.
A mid-sized construction company hired us after their monday CRM, installed by a former junior coordinator, produced no pipeline velocity. We moved them to CRM Ultimate, turned on monday AI agents, Vibe, AI Notetaker and AI workflows, and connected their outbound stack and ad attribution into the CRM. After 90 days, reporting was automated, dashboards were live for weekly meetings, and lead gen was booking 15 meetings per week.
Moving from HubSpot to monday CRM: What Migrates and What Gets Rebuilt
Dashboards, contacts, companies, deals, leads, tickets, the relationships between them, associated emails and activities, meeting notes, call history, and even custom properties can be migrated from HubSpot to monday CRM automatically using a specialized monday.com AI revenue platform like WorkCurrent AI — at the time of writing, the only solution that does this automatically and the only one approved by monday.com and listed on their app marketplace.
What Migrates Cleanly If You're Doing It Manually
Contact and company records map to monday contacts and accounts. Deals map to deals, and deal stage history transfers with careful field mapping. You export from HubSpot and import to monday, mapping each spreadsheet column to a monday column during import.
What Has to Be Rebuilt
- Assume all of it. HubSpot workflows operate at the object level; monday automations operate at the board level.
- Sequences in HubSpot are their own object; sequences in monday CRM Pro are built per board.
- Dashboards are rebuilt from scratch.
- HubSpot associations and custom objects become connected boards or subitems — a design decision, not a migration step.
- Deal stage history is the exception on the data side: it moves, but only with stage-by-stage field mapping.
The team that plans for a rebuild and gets a partial transfer is fine. The team that plans for a transfer and gets a rebuild is three weeks late.
How Long Migration Takes
Many monday partners quote $8,000 to $20,000+ and 7 to 12+ weeks for a HubSpot Sales Hub Enterprise to monday CRM Ultimate migration. Fractional Ops runs these in two weeks including data audit, automation rebuild, and training, as a fixed-scope project with published pricing. As the exclusive implementation partner of WorkCurrent AI, whose Automatic CRM Migration feature is included with the annual subscription, the work can be completed in as little as 8 hours.
7 Questions to Consider Before Migrating from HubSpot to monday CRM
- Are you actually using Marketing Hub? If forms, nurture, landing pages or attribution live in HubSpot, monday campaigns does not replace them. Decide where marketing goes before you touch sales data.
- Which automations do you need to keep? Export the workflow list. Most portals have dozens of workflows and five that matter. Rebuild the five and retire the rest on purpose.
- How clean is the data going in? Duplicates, dead contacts, and deals with no close date migrate as faithfully as good records do. Clean before, not after.
- What does your post-sale work look like? Project-shaped work fits monday. Ticket-shaped work sits more naturally on HubSpot's Service Hub, since monday Service is a separate product.
- How much are you spending? monday's three-seat minimum and five-seat buckets mean a seven-person team buys ten seats. The migration window is 60 to 90 days before renewal. We also include 2 extra months of monday CRM Ultimate free up front so you aren't double-paying during migration.
- Which integrations exist on both sides? Accounting, e-signature, calling, calendar. Check the six you use, not the marketplace counts.
- Who owns the CRM? The migration is a project; the CRM is a system. Name the owner before go-live: an internal admin, the founder, or a partner on retainer.
Running monday CRM and HubSpot Together
It works when you own the seam. It fails when both systems fight to be the pipeline. Marketing runs demand in HubSpot — forms, nurture, ads, attribution, with Smart CRM as the record of who came in. Sales and delivery run in monday: pipeline, handoff, project boards, agents. The handoff happens at the MQL or SQL stage. This is common in agencies, professional services, construction, and manufacturing.
Four decisions to make if you're running both:
- Which object crosses (contact and company at handoff; the deal gets created in monday).
- Which direction (one-way, HubSpot to monday, is simpler and usually enough).
- What syncs back (closed-won status, so marketing can see attribution).
- What doesn't sync — activity history — which is where most dual-stack pain lives. monday's native HubSpot integration is available at Pro; below that you're on Make or Zapier.
An agency client runs both. HubSpot organizes an integrated, multi-channel campaign for their lower-ticket self-serve product; we built and ran the outbound system connected to it, which generated 157 leads in the first 60 days. Enterprise-potential leads sync into monday CRM, where the sales team manages post-purchase support and cross-sell to their high-ticket agency services.
Who Should Choose HubSpot?
- You need marketing automation tied to the CRM.
- You're running a lot of paid ads.
- You have a RevOps admin, or the budget to hire one.
- Your addressable market is very large and marketing will scale to match.
- You're past 25 seats with complex multi-channel, multi-touch pipelines, and attribution and lifecycle reporting are requirements.
Who Should Choose monday CRM?
- Your reps and ops team already work in monday Work Management.
- Your post-sale work is project-shaped.
- You have no admin and no plan to hire one, and you want the system built for adoption rather than assembled from a template.
- You have a long sales cycle and sell high-ticket services or products (>$10,000).
- Per-seat cost at ten-plus seats matters and you don't need Marketing Hub.
What Changed in monday CRM in 2026?
- Sequences arrived at Pro in March 2026.
- The Enterprise tier was renamed Ultimate.
- Agents for lead sourcing, meeting prep, and pipeline monitoring run inside the CRM.
- monday Campaigns is available as an email marketing add-on.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is monday CRM cheaper than HubSpot?
Per seat, yes, at every tier. monday CRM Pro is $28 per seat per month against Sales Hub Professional at $90, and HubSpot adds a one-time onboarding fee at Professional. The gap narrows once you count monday's three-seat minimum, five-seat buckets, and a separate marketing tool if you need one. HubSpot's free tier is real; monday CRM has a trial only. Run the numbers for your actual headcount.
Can monday CRM replace HubSpot?
For sales, yes, for most teams of 3 to 20 reps: pipeline, sequences, forecasting, quotes, dashboards, and call ingestion are all present at Pro. For marketing automation, no. monday campaigns is email-first with no native ads or SMS. If Marketing Hub is doing real work, replacing HubSpot means replacing two systems, not one.
Does monday.com integrate with HubSpot?
Yes. monday CRM has a native HubSpot integration at the Pro tier, and both platforms connect through Make or Zapier at any tier. Contacts, companies, and deal status sync well. Activity history does not, and that is where most dual-stack setups leak.
Is monday.com a real CRM or a project management tool?
Both, as separate products. monday Work Management is the project tool. monday CRM, launched as monday sales CRM in August 2022, is a sales CRM built on the same board platform with its own objects and pricing. monday CRM has nearly the same functionality as Work Management plus more features, so many teams buy all their seats on CRM for its ability to handle emails and activities with clients, vendors and partners.
How long does it take to move from HubSpot to monday CRM?
It depends on data cleanliness and how many automations do real work. A three-year-old portal with dozens of workflows needs a cleanup phase that can run as long as the migration. Contacts, companies, and deals move quickly; automations and dashboards are rebuilt. Fractional Ops runs fixed-scope migrations in about two weeks, and as little as 8 hours using WorkCurrent AI's Automatic CRM Migration.
Do I need a partner to set up monday CRM?
Not for a pipeline; you can have one running in a day. Usually yes for a pipeline that stays accurate: boards designed around your process, automations that do the record-keeping, and agents that read calls and update deals. That is the difference between a demo and a system.
Does monday CRM have sequences and call recording?
Sequences, yes, at the Pro tier since March 2026. Calling and recording run through native dialing, and call content reaches the deal record through the monday AI Notetaker. HubSpot ships calling, recording, and transcription natively at Sales Hub Professional. The difference shows up in the agents that consume those recordings.
